Why jewellery?

Discover your creative side or begin a new hobby with Jumpring Jewellery Classes. Grow your knowledge of different jewellery-making processes from introductory through to trade specific level in a series of compact mini courses. Participants will have the opportunity to make use of the workshop after the successful completion of each course for further experimentation with presenter guidance.

Course Materials

All materials, but not your sterling silver is included in the course fee. Silver is available to buy as grain, wire or plate.  Courses are structured around demonstrations and participation and no formal training manual or certification will be provided.

Presenters Information

Classes are taught in the creative space of Bright Street Gallery. Classes have a strong emphasis on the design component of the process as presenters either graduated Fine Arts (Jewellery Design) or gained knowledge from working in the trade or attending courses at design schools. You will be guaranteed individual attention as only three places are available for each course. Learn from experienced jeweler metalsmiths and business owners who divide their time between teaching, working on private commissions and regularly taking part in group exhibitions.

To book a mini course or your studio time contact the course presenter:

Phone: M: +27 72 596 9014

Your place is confirmed once proof of payment is received. An indemnity and registration form will be completed before the commencement of classes. Please bring your own sketchbook and we recommend that you wear closed shoes and an apron. A refreshment station with tea, coffee and water will be provided during the short breaks. Bring your own lunch to enjoy in the courtyard if you stay for bench time.
