About
Multi-media artist, lives in the country near Hermanus. She paints bold
watercolours, and striking acrylics and the recipient of many art awards. Now
an abstract earned her 1st place in the SASA 2O2O Lockdown Competition – the
painting is on display at the Zeits Mocca art museum in Cape Town – the
‘Home is where the art is’ exhibition.
She is an administrator of the lnternational Watercolour Society of South
Africa and the founder of Country sketchers in Hermanus. Also a member of
urban sketch groups in Cape Town and Stellenbosch.
Inspiration behind “Garden Glory”
The inspiration of ‘Garden Glory’ emanates from a recent spring visit to Elgin
Open Gardens. I was in awe of the magnificent flowers and breath-taking
colours.
